Doormasters was founded in 1987 by Dan Murdock and one other partner, and they incorporated the company in 1993. They became known as the reliable and trusted choice for residential and commercial overhead doors and accessories. In 1997, they invented the Sunshine door, which put them on the map as industry innovators. In May 2004, Dan became the sole owner of the business and in 2016 the business relocated to its current location.
